OK, time to knuckle down and commit myself to a cash thread, and take it seriously for once.
Just checked my FT account, Ive got $112.49 and a $10 ring game ticket. Tomorrow I'm gonna deposit $100 for the reload bonus and try to work my way through that.
I will have strict brm, and to start with it will be high, 50 buy-ins at a level, plus 2 at the next level before I take shots at that level. So I will start at 5nl (only 6max) with 42 buy-ins, just to get the hang of it, and then re-assess my brm when Im more confident.
I will try to get at least one session in every day, work permitting, with at least an hour of play, 4-tabling at the most.
I will update here, after each session, with tricky hands thrown in for good measure.
Wish me luck!

*To my haters, please dont bother to post in this thread, you're not wanted here, you know who you are.

1st hand was fine. If you play passively on the flop you may get a nasty surprise. At least charging low cards to beat you gives you a chance of winning something. If another rag hits your set could be dead. Bet and make them gamble to beat top set. If they have a straight, so be it.

The second hand I think is a fold. Yes you had an over pair with some equity, but a bluff there in a multi-way pot seems unlikely. Better to lose small than gamble for more. All you really beat is lower PP hands and flush draws.

thanks Ian, all the best to you and yours as well. Its unbelievable how fishy 2nl and 5nl are, and Ive noticed that the capped stakes and shallow tables are even fishier. 2nl fish take shots at 5nl cap and shallow, just so easy to play ABC poker and clean up.

Same is true up to and including at least 25NL imo.

You could have checked back hand one, but betting half pot was fine too (I guess), since we do that with our entire range (lolatme for talking about balance). JJ is probably not a pot bet, but once you are raised after showing such strength, it's hard to believe you're ahead. Next time bet less otf.

Haters are gonna hate etc. but are they really any good at poker? ;)

523 hands session, 4 tabling mix of 2nl shallow and 5nl cap, up $5.23.

there was one huge fish on my left at a 1c/2c shallow(max of 80c buy-in) table, kept winning small pots against me, but kept losing big pots to me, I took 6 buy-ins off him lol!

it probably doesnt make sense to play any 40bb poker at 2nl and similar stakes unless there really is always a guy who is gonna give you 6 bi's with ease, the rake is simply ****ing you over and to make things worse when your playing with 40bb's the % of rake in relation to the pot size is obviously going to be quite a bit higher which just reduces your edge and even though everyone is terrible there are always 100bb tables with equally terrible players on, just an idea.

The AQ hand, I keep finding myself in those spots where I call the turn to fold the river. Based on his stack size I would just say fold the turn, might seem nitty as hell but unless you have information that tells you he is doing this with worse then you are beat every time.

GL with the cash thread. I'll be sure to follow, and nice hand with the 6-8 lol.

When read 10 buyins and see is 5nl was excited to see a $50 pot or at least a $20 pot if is caped, i feel cheated:p

Agree with Acky that wasting time playing cap tables, but is a waste to be playing on Fulltilt anyway if can play on Stars, so i guess is ok if is ok for you.
