Keep the pressure on or not??

Question?

should u quit a ring game or switch tables .10/.25 when u play tag and buy in for the max $25 and reach $70 in apx. 45 min? Or should you keep playing ur game for the duration of the time you planned on playing when you started?

(I was winning small hands all the way playing tag...then caught kk and plyr to my right had 99 and raised 4x the blind....I 4 bet that...flop came k9x suited.....villan checked...i bet 3/4 pot...villian called...I did it again and villian double my bet...so I raised all in and got a call)

I won the pot...should I switch tables? Call it a night and be satisfied? Or keep the pressure on by playing tag??? Just looking for a profitable strategy in that spot...at this point im just not sure

Whenever I triple up my buy-in I like to leave the table and find a new one. Probably just standard human psychology to play a tiny bit more loose when you have the massive stack at the table, and maybe chase a bit more when you aren't getting the right odds to. That's just me though, maybe you're more experienced and can still play the exact same solid poker that got you the stack.

TY...actually the table ended up quitting on me...lol..or bummer...either way...I have no choice but to keep REALLY playing smart tag w/ position and all...since I have experienced what happens when you dont...at least that way I feel better after a close call or a tough beat...

PS...those was one of those games where I was really set on playing the best I could all things given....since I was doing ring...once it actually worked just a tiny bit I had to come to the forum for a bit of feedback...

I will give it another shot some other time and take it as it comes....it's def. fun to play a good tag game...but I know fun is not high on the SHARKS of the world's list!

also your question is a lil vague, you should continue to play as long as you feel the table is still good and has a couple of fish other wise your edge is not large enough to warrant staying.

also if you are playing with in bank roll management lets say you have $500 to play with $25 risking only 5% of it with the buy-in fee, now you have $70 on the table , you now have a bank roll of $545 and $70 on the table which is risking now 7.78% of your roll which if you were following good bankroll management you should switch tabels and buy in for another $25 somewhere else.

I would stay and play as long as your winning.
