Ok, a serious thread from me, my own cash thread.

Ive played poker online for 5 years, mainly sngs and mtts, Ive done ok.

Been playing cash now for a few months, and done ok, took $8 up to $120 and counting at one site.

Just signed up to stanjames.com got a nice 30% rakeback deal, which might go up to 60% which would be nice lol. Ive deposited $38(all I had available in neteller), and have got a bonus on top of that, as well as 3 new depositors freerolls coming up.

I will be practising strict br management, 20 buy-ins at current level plus one buy-in at next level before moving up. I play at the most 4 tables(usually 2), one hour or so a day.

Good start -- one BI up after an hour? Couple hundred hands? I'm new to cash as well, so I'll be watching how you're doing; hopefully learn some more good stuff like in micromachine's thread -- love the link to the Beluga Theorem!!

Good luck!

edit: Beluga Theorem link is in micromachine's "Terrible 6-max Swings" thread. Sorry.

nah, i think about 30 hands or so. set-mining is so profitable at micros against AA etc.

site is in euros, but my account is in dollars, lol, one euro is 1.42 dollar currently, so I guess I'll try and convert to euros, or just play like its in dollars, i dont know im waffling.

quick session to try multi-tabling. opened 2 tables of 9max 2nl, then placed 2 tables of 6max 2nl in front, with overlaps. So Im always watching the action on the 6max tables, and only getting the 9max ones when its my turn.

starting balance: $40.09
end balance: $41.07

YO KD i like the BR strategy! Only question is why only cash games? do they not have a good mtt base at your new site? there is ways to get good rakeback at other sites. have you ever tried RaketheRake.com ? they are usually pretty sweet and they offer mini prizes if you rake certain amounts. Any updates on the br would be cool to!

yeah I play mtts and sngs when I have time, but I work nights so need like 9-10 hours sleep a day just to function. In mtts Im TAG, so normally run deep, so therefore play for 4 or 5 hours with a final table, anyway I cant do them when Im on nights, I get the odd hour here and there per day, so cash is the solution.
I will add them into the mix as and when a)I get time, and b) Im rolled for them, ie 50x buy-in for sngs, and 100x buy-in for mtts.
as for rake, Im on a few rake sites, but this new one has some sweet deals, and I know someone who maybe can get me 60% rakeback, paid weekly, which would be nice.

Oh, and I use my other sites for mtts, one has lovely 50c-$2 buyins, with guarantees up to $300, with usually 50 players, I frequently cash at those as I have notes on 80% of the players, being as it has a small player pool.

Last night of work, then 2 nights off, so Im gonna grind a lot the next couple of days.

Good luck, good luck! I'll be following your thread. Sounds like you are in a similar boat to me, I also switched to cash because it is so much easier to fit in around everything else.

quick 30 min session, 4 tables, 2 of 6max, 2 of 10max. Only major hand, I had KK, flop was rainbow, turn was K and 2nd heart, river was 3rd heart, other guy donkbet river for not very much, I called, he showed 63hearts for flush.

Keep forgetting this is all in euros, you dont feel like you've won much, then when it converts back to dollars its a lot more, which is good when you win, crap, I guess, when you lose.

starting balance $41.07
end balance $42.44

thanks MM, Im sure Ive subscribed to your cash thread, I think. good luck with your poker bud. The only thing with short sessions is its hard to get reads on players in that short time. As far as I know, my HEM hud doesnt work for the microgaming network. Then again, at 2nl there's so many fishes, you can work that out soon enough without a hud.

Good Going KD!,

Just to echo something already said that I think is important:
buy in for the max, or at least 3/4; if possible,

it sounds like you are dialing in on the cash tables; get ready to see, (though sure u prob. alread have) some absolute hilarious maniacal play.

Don't let it it get you ticked off, it use to get me so hot, now i just laugh.

Good thread! I'll keep up with it.

Always buy in full.See if you can find a hand converter that is a little easier on the eyes please.I'm assuming you don't have HEM or PT3?I would suggest posting the problem hands in the HA section and the other random stuff\problems in here. But it's your thread.GL KD :)

Thanks Logan. If FT ever comes back I'll grind the sngs again, as I liked them at that site but cant seem to find any other site with decent traffic for micro sngs

Yeah the buy-in for full is an issue I have at the moment, Im still finding my way around the site. I'm sure there's an auto-top-up function somewhere, but I havent found it yet. I just manually top-up, but playing 4 tables I sometimes miss a top-up here and there. As for hand convertors, there arent many around for this site, i had to google it just to find the one I use at the mo. Ive got HEM, and again, Im having problems getting it to work, I dont get much time to play during the week, maybe an hour a day, so spending time on sorting that out goes on the back-burner when I could be playing the tables. I know that shud be a priority, but I dont work like that, Im afraid.
Thanks for the good wished JB.
