Im trying to build a bankroll on the low limit tables and its just not working for me.Waiting for the good cards to hit and getting sucked out on or all iners makes my blood boil. Do players on higher limit tables actually play like they have some knowledge of the game? Not "by far " that I know everything about poker (Holdem), but was just wondering.:cool:Really, Im not whining, just new at this and am discouraged.

you are gonna have your donks at every level. there is just so many at the low stakes. put it this way, do you care more about a dime or a dollar. many low stakes players don't care enough to play the game correctly. don't be discouraged. play very tight in low stakes.

if i win one good pot an hour, i'm happy with that.

that's one of the great things about poker. You have to figure out who you are playing against. Blinds or buy ins for tourneys change the way people play. What you have to understand is to me 4-8 blinds are high stakes to me, but if bill gates is playing at the table do you think losing $500 - $1000 is going to phase him at all. Everyone is going to get sucked out on, but if you make the correct decision most of the time odds say you will profit.

Try to play when you are closer to the button as then you can see how many maniacs - sorry players - are already in the pot and then make your decision on how to play.

Its not easy at that level but it can be done, just watch how the others play and try to detect any betting patterns that may appear.

Play you best hands strong and hopefully they will get the message not to mess with you too often :)

Good luck

a lot of members post hands in the analysis section. many of the hands are low stakes. read some of these, perhaps they will help you.

when you feel comfortable enough, post some of your own hands and we can help you find your problem.

I have found that I needed to learn patience and to pay attention to the players at the table... slow and steady is the name of the game !

In the low stake ring games the house rake seems to be the winner. Does anyone have info on what they actually take? I play on Full tilt.

Play "limit" games then till you learn how to preditct the way the crads are going to fall.
Limit will only take out most of the donks and a good stage to learn the game in true fashion while keeping your bankroll damages to a minimum.
Most limit players get a better understanding of the crap thet can happen and learn at an inexpencive pace. GL
