in particuler dusk till dawn international, and some other party poker qualifiers etc
Theirs alot of unorthadox or what I would regard as bad play, playing hands such as 6 2 off and 7-2 calling free bets out of position and just generally going 5 ways into pots with hands not that strong..

is this advisable for live games? where as online differs due to hand volume or are some of these guys just idiots who gotlucky or had a bit of cash behind them to invest into poker...

i mean simple logic would suggest by playing solid and letting them bet into you when holding the goods would be profitable alone.. ofcourse with the added benifit of gaining respect when bluffing later on...

perhaps they have so much money they aren't really concerned about leaks and are more concerned for their egos on attempting to bluff?

I'm gonna assume that the players are pros that you're watching.

If everyone is limping in or even if it's a min raise, calling with any two cards when you're 4th/5th to act isn't a bad play. You're gonna be getting good pot odds.

Most of the players you see on youtube are pros, they're not the fishes you see playing online. They're not gonna be donk betting with air and letting you stack them off. They're gonna play 7 2 the same way they play KK.

Yeah thats correct I still think some of the guys get an ego kick off showing off for the camara's and are happy to keep on playing wide.
theirs rarely all ins in a pro cash game so it allows the players really to do what they want and carry on with weak hands in an attempt to pick up reads narrow down ranges

In a sense if you know your opponents range you have an advantage if your flopping low cards and you know their range is premium to pocket pairs from a certain position, something like 62 could be profitable when it hits.

if used to perfection its massively profitable some days.
It still seems daft playing bad hands out of position when your an epic calling station. - however this does prove you can teach yourself your own aggressive strategy over along time - if you have a talent in the game

They are too comfy sometimes, actually alot, playing 72 and such. Thats what gets them paid on their big hands, you just have to wonder if its worth it after leaking away with so many junk hands. In the long run that is why alot of poker players go broke.

Alot of the pros play those cards for their "image" and so that their big hands actually get paid off. Look at Tom Dwan on almost any show, his big hands get paid off because he has the image of playing any two cards and people never want to fold to his raises. When you are not known, playing like that does not really matter.

Also, watch out when you watch poker shows/youtube videos because they are not showing your average hands, they show the craziest must absurd hands that the viewers want to see. They obviously cut out the boring hands that are played normally. Go to pokertube and watch the live tournament they have on right now if you want to see some real poker.
