It is easy to get weak and check the turn when called on the flop, but I have noticed that if I bet the turn I do better.

When I call or check the turn, my win $ at showdown is only 48%, but when I bet the turn, my won $ at showdown is 75%. Sessions when I have higher bet turn % I usually have higher win rates and see fewer showdowns.

Be careful. You need to look deeper here.

If you are betting the turn because you have a stronger hand of course you'll win more. Just means the sessions where you have better cards you win more money. Imagine that!

That said though, barreling against the right players is like printing money. So many players call a cbet and give up to further aggression without a strong hand. Find those players and bet the turn against them all day.

Ya I have noticed that playing live. Playing 1/2 blinds there will be like 10 in the pot and I will bet 7 and almost everyone still calls because they say its only 7 dollars but then I will barrel again on the turn for like 18-20 and everyone folds

I think WVHillbilly's post is 100% spot on. You have to find the right opponents to barrel against. Betting the turn is so much stronger of a move than just cbetting but not everyone will back down from mediocre holdings. Try to bet with some equity at least. A gutshot or two overs is better than nothing.

It is usually a good idea to bet the turn if there are 2 other players or less in the pot with you. If you are in position and it gets checked down to you, ALWAYS BET, but don't commit yourself unless you have a strong hand.

They just posted a Leakbuster video about playing the turn in "instructional videos". Gives a few good/bad situations to fire a second barrel.

Yeah, i thought it was helpful also. Has been a spot i have struggled with.
They have some good training content, i guess they are adding some more to the program.

I agree w/the always bet if checked to you in position.
A tangent from that would be HOW MUCH to bet? Let's assume you have air or not a super strong hand.

bet the turn with equity or when your perceived strength goes up and your opponents down.also betting the turn with qj on jxx for example stabilizes your range and makes it less polarized.sometimes though checking the turn is obligatory since ur opponent will fold a worse hand and wont ever bluff the river when out of position.
