Hello, i've played a really interesting hand at 5NL today and curious about what you think about my thought process in the hand.

So I open the hand get a caller hit a set but on a 3 heart board, pretty meh since it might scare him or make him play more carefully.
-I bet the flop since I want to get value from a K or a Q before a 4th hearth hit the board.
-Turn is a really good card for me because if he has a K he will pay again and a Q definitely will continue, so great card for me.
-Now the 4th hearth on river is really bad for me. I am already thinking that i make a bet and he folds his Kx or Qx which sucks. But he might be called like that with the A of hearth. Now the pot is pretty small on turn and if he has a flush he calls, I decide to be more creative and get more value from the A since Kx and Qx folds anyway.

The final is pretty stupid and i was like: :confused: what just happened lol?! Anyway I am pretty conviced that my thought process was good and wanted to share it with you. Good luck. :p

Excellent doubling of 200bb, but you were lucky. If it were not for QQ, a complex decision was waiting for you on the river.

this looks like a great candidate to overbet the turn to 25bb. Made flushes are never folding and may well shove for you. Ahx probably calls hoping to spike the nut flush on the river. Qx may fold but could well call vs a possible made flush thinking they have boat outs. You're also getting great value against suited connectors that flopped the flush who could well fold river if a heart comes. their hand is then behind Ahx

You were lucky twice. And to win, from you nothing was required, only to open 77. Your opponent could easily throw out on the river, since you could well have a flush with J and A.

Ok, i belive this was not about luck and your comment is pretty useless.
You are right i was "lucky" to have 77 and to flop a set cause i could have 3 9 and just fold. By your logic every hand played was luck.
