Hey guys, I thought some might like this, I have based my standard plays around the average unknown guy at my stake who's PFR is around 12.7 for PS 6max at 5NL. I also had him down for a 3bet of 4% and a fold to PF3bet of about 75%.
The last two numbers do take an age to converge so come in very handy until subsantial player history has been built up.
I recently discovered the "Reports" tab on PT3 and have been having a play around with a large database of several 100k hands. I seperated average PFRs in to four groups and found interestingly that 3bet % and willingness to fold varies widely with PFR.
Could come in very handy when you are considering 3betting a guy who you have say 100 hands on but whos 3bet stats are far from converged. Or perhaps you are new to a table and get repopped buy the loose guy
I supppose I could make some adjustments to my standard 3bet strategy for Mr Average as I now have reason to believe he is slightly less inclined to fold to a 3bet (70% as opposed to 75% likely) I might tighten up a little on bluff hands and light 3bets... I think some of you more experienced guys had suggested I do this anyway!
