Hey guys, I thought some might like this, I have based my standard plays around the average unknown guy at my stake who's PFR is around 12.7 for PS 6max at 5NL. I also had him down for a 3bet of 4% and a fold to PF3bet of about 75%.

The last two numbers do take an age to converge so come in very handy until subsantial player history has been built up.

I recently discovered the "Reports" tab on PT3 and have been having a play around with a large database of several 100k hands. I seperated average PFRs in to four groups and found interestingly that 3bet % and willingness to fold varies widely with PFR.

Could come in very handy when you are considering 3betting a guy who you have say 100 hands on but whos 3bet stats are far from converged. Or perhaps you are new to a table and get repopped buy the loose guy :)

I supppose I could make some adjustments to my standard 3bet strategy for Mr Average as I now have reason to believe he is slightly less inclined to fold to a 3bet (70% as opposed to 75% likely) I might tighten up a little on bluff hands and light 3bets... I think some of you more experienced guys had suggested I do this anyway!

Is this just telling us that the looser players are less likely to fold to a 3bet? Sorry if I have missed the point...

Looks like the tight players play tight, and the loose players play loose :p

C9, at the risk of being pedantic, Isn't it more the case that passive players play tight and aggressive players play loose, tight players become passive and looser players become more aggressive?

In the adsence of decent reads this information will be valuable to me. Didn't think this was so obvious... so shoot me! :D

I had an hour or so to kill but knew I didn't have my poker head on.

I never thought to open up my 3bet values hands vs a higher PFR. I guess I should adjust here in a similar way as I would a shorter stack.

Do you think that the extra 3bets of a looser player are more generally more for value or for more bluff hands?
