make sure the board is not paired before getting carried away. Of course this applies to Hold 'Em as well, but you see this time and time again where someone fails to notice the board paired when they have the nut flush.

Fizual has timed out

Based on the betting I thought initially villain had K10xx or OESD (on flop). With the betting on the river I knew I beat K10 and the only hand I was really concerned about was 1010 and KKxx. When he bet the turn as well, I figured he likely had a good flush draw as well or possibly something like AQJx or AQK10.

Note that with the 3rd nuts in Omaha, I didn't re-raise him on the river. Only with the nuts would this be a good move IMHO.

Nice work :)

What are people's thoughts on getting away from the nut flush in an Omaha situation like this?

From the villain's point of view, he knows there's only two kings left in the deck and you're unlikely to have both of them... so he's only beat if you hold TT, JJ, JT, KT or 3T, some of those hands are pretty unlikely, and he's getting almost 3:1 on his money for a call with the nut flush. I don't think it's all that horrible a call. Not realising there are full houses out there is a bit of a worry though

He should just call the river bet. Raising me was idiotic. Alternatively, if the pot is more substantial, he could re-pot it as a bluff. In which case I'd have a tough call to make vs a possible 10-10. (Hard to give a lot of weight to KKxx since he limped)

I'd agree (I actually got the order of betting on the river wrong in my head, thought you raised him - oops)

Maybe he puts you on the queen high flush - but then how many Omaha players are getting their money in with the third-nut flush when the hand's been played like this?
