I am long time MTT i've delved into cash games of course, but to make it a regular thing? what do you suggest to start? keep in mind im experienced. I'm more looking for very simple directions like "this site has good action for it" or "if you play at wpn, it usually gets very hard after x amount of $ table" thanks guys for any help. Also, i have poker books, but 1 really good one you could recommend on this topic? online cash, not live. thanks!

I believe in playing cash games more that I do in playing tournaments. There is just less variance in a cash game and at most times it plays more standard at times. I love the book by blackrain 79 which is modern small stakes. It talks about the Hud the stats what you can use etc. Since you are experienced you should know that at a cash the ranges are going to be wider and people are going to play more speculative hands because they can be profitable. There are so many good resources out there that can help you out. If there are any that you are looking for just hit me back and i help you as much as i can. Good luck on the felt.

start your way up to the micro-limits . bankroll management is of course an important role. if you have $ 100 to divide them into 5 pieces and play.

Determine you best game first

Make sure if you are playing cash games to know what you excel in. Maybee the more unconventional games are your best bet, a lot of competition in NL Hold Em.

are you suggesting a bankroll of 5 buyins? That's terrible advice. (25 to 40 would be better... but 'it depends')

I would also suggest getting started by playing the lowest of limits (2c/5c), play there for awhile & consider moving up when you've proven you're capable of beating that level.
Forget about the money. Focus on making the best decisions possible... the money will look after itself.

I'm sorry for the late replies. I would firstly like to thank RegHC23
for telling me about this book, and offering me help, i will be glad to tell you how it goes when i start here in a couple weeks.

xpvictor1 i will take this into consideration. i've recently realized how important it is to not just play any game you feel like but to really find your comfort zone, so this is good to reaffirm.

as far as bankroll management goes i should be good to go there.

I guess I could start a cash thread or something as well as my SNG/mtt one that i will be working on. The ball is up in the air at this point.

ive always done sngs/mtts as ive originally stated and played some ring over hte years but never committed to them all or singular, as far as dedication and pure goal-driven momentum.. this should be exciting!!

Wow dude, where to start, well, brm is for sure important, so always keep an eye on your BR, i know u are experienced MTT player, but trust me when i say, MTT is almost nothing like cash game, cash its more agro, putting players under constant pressure to try and read if they are week or strong, dont be afraid to play, people always bluff, u should adjust to that as well, were in MTT is required patience, here is more agro, ull see plays like u have never seen b4 :D its crazy, but its crazy good :D
Ooo and also watch twich there are many players who stream their online sessions, ull get a good sense what is cash game all about

good tip on the stream one. i do fairly well because im naturally aggro and a good hand reader so i really dont know what advice im expecting to hear thati dont know already but you guys are all adding to what i know so i can get into a cash game mentality and just take it seriously. know what i mean?

im trying to work out a schedule for my poker and decide waht i want to do.

ive heard a lot of good advice even one guy said 7 tables on 2 monitors , one cash one mtts.

ive seen in past a guy do 16 x $50 tables

.. lot of options..
i made a good chart for expected roi. i guess that would be a good subject. expected return on cash how to measure it well?

ect. since less variance i hear its steadier cashflow.. but i have np cashing mtts regularly
