You did nothing wrong.

You flopped the nuts, you went all in, he sucked out and you lost. Just unlucky mate :(

You did nothing wrong.

Totally disagree:

1. you have two limpers, but only raise to 3x the bb. Your raise should be closer to 4,000; otherwise you are giving the limpers odds to call.

2. you get re-raised by a short stack, and now have the opportunity to rectify your above mistake: by 4betting to isolate the short stack; but instead you just call, inviting the limpers in with odds.

Therefore:
3. K7 beats you in the side pot because you played poorly preflop.

Thanks for the advice. So you're saying that on the pre-flop I should have bet at least 5x the blind. Now that I think about what you are saying, it didn't matter if I didn't get any action at that level. I could have just taken the blinds and antes. I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks.

what a crazy hand every1 went all in, i would just check after flop but i dont think it would be different, that K10 would force you to go allin again..

no you did the right thing i disagree with alien genius because you raised a good amount even if you raised to 3200 or 4k you were going to get called. That one guy pushed all in and the other too ahead of you called that so if you went all in even after you raise they were gonna call. You raised like a good player raises 2 more BB wouldnt of mattered. you flopped the nutz and got your money in and they got lucky and sucked out. Yeah you gave them odds to call but you wanted a caller instead you got 4 which sucks but you cant predict other players everytime. it was a 10fpp they were not folding even if you dumped them all in preflop like that guy with the 4k did gomarlinsgo went all in with 77 lol so you did the right thing all the way around.

He didn't mean a standard 5x bb raise....If you were first in the pot 3x is fine...but once you get a limper you must increase that number you start going by pot size then.....2 limpers in that hand plus antes..and blinds the pot was 3200ish...you bet 2400 that make the pot 5600......that gives almost any 2 cards the correct odds to call. When you start getting that deep into a tourney it takes a lot of chips to chase off some callers...especially when half your table was in shove or fold mode.

You were ok to be in the hand, you just needed a bigger raise preflop.

If it makes you feel any better, I would have probably made a similar bet as you did.

Sardonix...you really didn't look at all of your info did you?? 7 of the 9 people at the table were in shove or fold mode..or should have been. Actually OP was within his rights to shove as his M was under 10. So, he was right to be in the hand, but had he just hit an Axx on the flop he was probably going to push..so why not push??

i think you played correct.. i would probably have went all in pre flop, but after that flop you were ahead with the straight.
you were just unlucky to get that river.. they only needed a king, an ace or a ten.
well played imo.

^^this is not true against short stacks looking to shove any reasonable two cards as you crush a large portion of thier range.

Thanks for your encouragement AjMsR. I really was going to give up online poker because I was beginning to think I wasn't as good as I thought I might be. Now I'm rethinking that it may be the tournament play where anybody plays anything. But I love tournament play (whine).Anyway, thanks for the encouragement everyone who answered my post.

Did you people realize that this was a 10 FPP freeroll? People will play anything. For this game you had 2 options, get your chips in and hope for the best or fold pre-flop. If it was a cash tournament, I would have folded before the flop. I have done it many times. That's just my opinion. For a freeroll I would go with almost anything.

So you're saying that you give more respect to players who play cash than freerolls?
You really should give all players respect no matter what the limit, whether it be a freeroll or cash game you should give respect to all players unless their actions indicate they are poor players.
IMO

you had no other choice than to call all in on the flop because you had the nuts as other people have expressed. Its just one of them things with poker again you think you got the best hand and you do at the time but theres 2 cards to come and anything can happen.

you were just unlucky... this where your bankroll comes in to play
