i know this is going to sound very, very, very strange, but im playing my live tournament again tonight, and i want to try something different tonight...

I am a tight aggressive player, rarely lay hands down, when i hit and sometimes, call even though i know im beat, just hoping (im being brutally honest here)

Tonight i want to try a different style to see how i fair..

How would you guys play, if things went your way, its a 40 man tournament, blinds go up every 15 minutes.

Sounds like you know what you have to do. Raise more, reeraise, if you're beat then you're beat-lay it down. Get aggresive, but not to the point of a maniac. Quit calling with hands that you know are going to lose.

My friends know me as a very tight player, not playing very many hands until something good comes. That said, I think it's valuable not to just go in with a different game but to change your game while you are playing. If everyone thinks you are a tight player they won't know what hit them when you raise with 56s and hit two pair. Trick 'em good.

last night i had the wierdest run of luck ever...

i was short stacked (around 8 times big blind) and i was the big blind... pot was raised to double and there were no callers, it came round to me and i had 10 5 suited, i should have folded, i would normally have folded

Instead i pushed all in to try and steal, but he called,

the flop came 10, 10, 7
he had AK
next came an Ace
and on the river my 5

then next hand, i had 6 3 off suite, in the small blind, everyone folded, big blind is a weak player, so i raised to 4 x the big blind, big blind called, flop came 6, 3, A, i pushed all in, he called

he had A J

i hit my 3 on the turn.. again, 2 full house in 2 hounds with low cards

I went on to make the final table and finished in 8th position, eventually my luck ran out...

I busted out with A 9 suited, went all in against A 7 and Q 7.

the 7 hit the board and so did the queen..

it was great though
