I've been noticing a few players seem to fear the bigger games online,
IMO in reality there is really nothing to be affraid of, apart from being freebet alot more in 50NL and obv 100NL there are still alot of passive players and bad players to account for, not to mention that playing these levels will be benifitial for your micro games even if you take a schooling at 100NL and lose your sessions you go away with more in your locker and the micro beginners wont be prepared for whats in store for them

some of us may not have the funds to play 100NL (1,000/2,0000) or even 50NL, (500/,1000) but your far more likely to build a life changing roll if you take those chances, the risk is obviously higher, but if your a good micro player and you have a couple of winning sessions your looking at a few hundred dollers added to your role (maybe enough to start playing 50NL if you make 3 profitable sessions in a 150.00 buy in at 100NL it can be alot of money,

the truth is there are good players at all stakes 10NL and upwards and more novices a you move lower, but its still hard work to get out of the micros
you have to be good to say the least, it may not happen for years or it could be a month,
I would definately recommend gaining experience in all games and tournament levels though, as it gives you a hands on insight as to what you need to be doing - and you can take more from vids of watching online players at 100NL+ once you know how it feels in the spots.

Just my oppinion anyway guys,
you may feel differently

100nl (1000/2,0000) ? 50nl (500/,1000)? You mean $100 stacks for 100nl and $50 stacks for 50nl?

The truth is; there is actually a LOT more bad players at say 10nl as opposed to 100nl and you will certainly struggle playing 100nl if you haven't done your dues at the micros. (For the most people anyway) Someone taking a shot at 100nl on a small micro roll really isn't advisable and it actually sounds like you're contridicting what you're saying. You say there are good players are all limits..but you say it's hard work to get out of the micros. It really isn't or shoulden't be difficult or take a long time if you're playing good solid poker along with bankroll mangament. There's no real need to risk playing higher to bust; because if someone really wants to, I'm pretty sure within a couple of months could be at 50nl/100nl from the micros if they worked hard enough.

I think he means recommended bankroll for that stake, so 10-20 buyins for each. I personally think 10 BI's is WAY too low to move up and take a shot, as you can easily lose half your bankroll and then lack the disciple to move down. A lot better is to wait for 20 then move down if you lose 5. Other than that I agree with you both. Fish are harder to come by at 100NL+ but there are still plenty if you look hard enough. You will find the playbook of the average reg widens gradually as you move up through 50NL-200NL (200 is the highest i've played).
