I think i figured out NLHE 2NL
So im relatively new around here, and I've only really been taking poker seriously for a little over a month now, just hit 10k hands.
And let me tell you, it has been a hell of a learning experience. I have read what seems like countless articles, 3 books now, and NONE of the advice seemed to work in the microstakes. Except for the advice on fish! for some reason it just never really really clicked.
But even then, a lot of the advice on fish doesnt work when theres on average 3 or 4 fish at my full ring tables. Like, how do you isolate a fish when 2 others will call your bet.
So ive started just sitting down and telling myself. Alright Quantum, theres four fish at your table (usually on average 30/1/2). This player has no idea what he is doing. You cant play games with them, outmaneuver them, try to steal their blinds. Let's just play a tight game, cbet when ther fcb is high, and value bet when we've got the goods.
And its worked. Honestly i shouldve taken other peoples advice earlier but it just never clicked. These guys will call pot sized bets allllll the way to the river with SECOND BUTTON, or less!! Not even with a draw.
Sometimes when my table is super fishy (like a few people with VPIP 60+) ill open push AA or KK preflop once in a while and guess what they call it! I couldn't believe it but now i guess thats why they call them fish right?
I hope im not coming accross as arrogant, honestly i think it took me longer than most to figure this out.
