Im on the BTN with KK I open Raise to 3x Villian on BB Re raises i re raise and he calls. Flop comes 3s 8c Qh he checks I raise to half the pot he then pushes all in. I call he Show trip queens and he takes the pot with two blanks on the turn and river. Did i play that really bad. I think i let the overpair to the board blind me abit. If an Ace came on the flop i think im leaning towards a fold. This villian was playing fairly Lag style. Bad play or just got in a bad situation??

You did fine. He wasn't going away no matter what you did.

You played fine bro, you just got unlucky. Personally, It would be very hard to put him on trips.

He flat called your 4-bet OOP with QQ? I don't like that.

We could probably rule out KK and AA because he flat called preflop, and 88/33 seems unlikely. Flat calling a 4-bet and shoving the flop is either AQ or QQ everytime.

So unless you knew him well enough to decide which it was shoving, you're getting more than 2:1 on your money for a 50/50 hand. That's how I'd view it anyway.

Don't be scared of an Ace on the board when you have KK either, try to represent it first, and fold to any further aggression.

Unlucky man.
