re: Poker & Did I play this hand badly?
This seems like a situation where the players would almost call anything and everytime you raise preflop, this is a nice table to play . AQ guy probably scared or nervous and wanted to see flop without risking too much preflop, 10,2 guy obviously a fish and wanted to see the pot too hoping he would hit something lol. . If I had played a hand like that, I wouldn't even consider raising preflop with a8 against these guys especially OOP but if I had. I would have check the flop. These guys especially 10,2 is your ATM machine, they would make you rich before they leave the table if you play your A game. Why check flop. If you watch the AQ guy play , I am sure he would go into the pot with pretty much anything, most likely fold bad cards and try to only limp in with good cards to see the pot ,so you're suppose to think maybe he limp with something good , the reason why you would think that is because I'm sure he didn't raise other good hand unless top pair. Same goes with 10,2 guy but I'm sure if he had AQ he would raise to show you he has something good lol.so check flop to see what AQ does. IMO once I raise 16 preflop and AQ call I would instantly knows he has something decent , reason is why would he risk to see flop,he doesn't like to risk anything hence why he didn't raise preflop. Of course you have to watch him play before you can make this assumption, you had to atleast know how they played before raising with a8 I'm assuming. So the mistake you made was not good deduction skills of your opponent.
