Cash game no more for me! 500$ lost! Very agressive players and the adrenaline is always high and I lose the final tentative with AK against a low pair of 44! I'm really upset with myself and I decided not to play cash games anymore.

Hei man that's exactly what used to happen to me in the past. I always made some money on mtts or deposited and used to lose them all in cash, say i'll never play cash games again and then after a while play again and repeat it over and over again.

Now for almost 3 months cash games became my main game and i started learning strategies, ranges and stuff like that for 100bb deep. If you want to play again even sometime i'd recomand you to study some preflop play on cash games, it will help you whole game alot :D In poker the most important part is preflop so if you keep it as clean as posible you won't get into too many tricky and bad spots :p good luck.

I, too, can not always say I win and I often cry with dolars for the excitement, but I probably lost about 100. It all depends on the style of the game, and it's also aggressive and wild. Passes often, but not always. Excitement. :icon_king:p

I'm happy never playing cash games. You need a certain kind of skill and patience to win cash games.

Hey buddy! Don't get discouraged by the cash games. Just remember to only bring enough money that you feel comfortable losing. Also remember to play tight. There is no rush to get involved in a hand when you play cash game. Position is king in cash games! Play only top premium hands in early position. In late potion you can limp in with your more speculative hands and raise big with your premium hands.

Cash is way better than tourney. Next time, take a big breath, settle in for the grind and don't get caught up with the gambling. Tight, aggressive. Bet your good hands for value, don't try bluffing.

You got this buddy! Good luck!

I know very well that you spent $ 200 in cash, and after that no more cash, just tournaments and sit and play.

There aren't many situations where you should be going broke on AK unless it's post flop. It is extremely rare for me to be all-in preflop with AK

Cash game structure is for highly skilled well bankrolled players. You cannot make a lot of money quickly but you can lose a lot of money and quickly. The cash game structure demands bankroll management because the hands are worth money themselves. For $500 you can have a lot of fun in MTTs online as opposed to cash it is just 1 hand. Also the cash game table is not a gambling table.

It makes sense to play the cache, the main thing to understand when you need to leave the table.
Do not worry, now you're unlucky lucky next time.

Losing 500$ is part of playing poker. IF your hand held up guess what you would of maybe won 500$. Your gambling buddy. No one wants to hear your cry baby story when there losing much more then 500$ on AK or making stupid bets. Next time ask a question such as "Did I play this correctly" etc.

You are not required to play cash games, obviously. So I am not sure why you are even posting this. But here are some thoughts that may help. I struggled when first moving from tournaments to cash games. My first thoughts were "These guys are terrible! How am I not winning?" I was wrong. Lets talk about the hand. First of all pre flop AK v 44 is a coin flip with the 4's slightly ahead. It's not uncommon to see someone shove with AK pre flop in a tournament. And in a tournament folding 44 to a early shove is the correct play many times. However in a cash game the hands play out differently . If your holding AK early position and shove, unless you are playing a short stack, you've likely made a mistake. Any pp from 22-QQ are slightly ahead while KK and AA have you crushed. Cash games you typically don't want to be playing coin flips for your entire stack. So they are two completely different animals and learning to tame them both will serve you well but complaining just to complain never will.

I've decided for myself that poker won't become my main profit source. I can play only for fun because obviously there too much thing to leart for me to become a professional. It is almost impossible. So decide yourself what to do with the situation you have. Bad beats and other stuff like that will always happen in poker. Obviously you can't win all the time. And that's a pitty. No matter how best you did.

IF you're getting upset for being felted because of the amount lost and not how you played the hand...you're playin way above your bankroll.

In other words, you should sit at a table where you go in knowing that there's a chance, you're going to lose it. If you're not comfortable with that thought you need to find a cheaper buy in until you are or just play tournaments.
