I just became a WINNING poker player (for now)

I'm super excited I have played about 5,000 hands on ACR. I started out with 10 free dollars from a promotion and then at a later date deposited 20 dollars. I was doing ok but playing Jackpots Killed me. I just didn't seem to do well and the odds are against you most of the time (Based on the prize pool vs your odds of winning it)

After watching alot of Poker Academy videos Articles from here and all over the web. I finally am postive on my win rate. I'm pretty excited but of course I realize this can change in an instant. Thanks for the great articles cardschat they are super helpful. I went up stacks because I felt I was playing very well in .01/.02 in the last month. Here is my first big win at .02/.05 I thought it was an interesting hand. Looking over it I am not sure if i made the right call. Input would be appreciated in what I could of done better and alternative thought processes. Thanks .

Doing a preview when posting a hand history is what causes the problem with the formatting, same would happen if you did an edit after initially posting it.

In regards to the hand why shove the flop, its a massive overshove and is just going to get called by better (which it technically did in regards to the odds of who will win the hand at that point in time the villian has 18 outs (9 clubs, 6 cards for the straight (technially 8 but two are already counted in the club outs), and 3 aces) so he is roughly a 60ish % fav to win the hand when the money went in.

Its nice to fade all those outs he had thats for sure but most often you are just making a worse hand fold by overshoving in that spot (without specific reads that he is a uber spewy maniac or something) and while I would raise and a pretty hefty raise there I wouldn't be jamming it in there.

I did he think he was a bit spewy as you said with VPIP: 36.00, PFR: 24.00.
Up to that point I had been playing like a nit as it was my first session in a higher stake.

My reasoning was that with so many draws on the board I wanted to make chasing a draw not worth it for him. So I tried to get a second win condition by making him fold. And to also put alot of pressure on him with an all-in.

What do you think?

3b pre, hate the shove. Like mentioned, you're folding out the part of his range you're crushing, and keeping his monsters in for maximum price.

As played pre, just make a normal size raise, you could probably pot it. If he plays back at you, you need to be aware of whether villain will play draws that way, and if he'll stack off with TT,JJ,QQ here.

The other problem is he's 36/24 so his UTG range could be huge, it might be normal. Another reason I like 3b better
