ya, stop falling in love with your hands.

also, if you buy in for $100 and youre up like 200 bucks, just take your money, and move to another table. Buy in for another $100, pocket $100, and no even if you lose it all, youre still up $100 !!

I was the same way and then I realized I sucked at poker. So I started playing on line because I can learn way faster for a fraction of the price. I'm really learning so much more, so much faster and so much cheaper than I ever would playing live. I'd be interested to see how I do in a month taking what I'm learning from online to live

Don't forget to make the necessary adjustments to live. You can't play live like you do online.

What I mean is: more limping, no light 3-betting, open-raising a lot bigger, folding to aggression more, etc.

The rules are the same, but the gameplay is WAY different.

You are probably playing looser and getting a feeling of invincibility when your up and it is hurting your overall play. I hate to tell you this and never would if you were in my live game, if you get up I see many bad players be "smart" get up and walk away.

This is a complete angle and your just sh%%%%%ing on every player, if your going to leave that's fine, but these type of players are the worst, absolutely no respect.

I feel your pain, sometimes I would play tight with my 100BB buyin, slowly build it up to 500 BBs. Then I'd start playing much looser, start losing and go on tilt, game over. :( lol

I disagree with this. Deep-stacked poker is fun. It's what I consider "real poker" and allows you to be way more creative. Plus it also allows you to have a much bigger edge against the fish and attain a much higher win rate.

To the OP: I think that you should continue playing for as long as you feel that all 3 conditions are being satisfied on your table:
1) You are not tired or tilted
2) There is at least one fish on the table that you have a decent edge against
3) You can afford to withstand variance (eg. losing your stack set over set)

I have played multiple sessions of live $1/$3 with a $1500+ stack (reached $1730 a few days ago) and I find that I actually play better and more confidently with a deeper stack. I hate the fact that my casino only allows people to buy in for a max of $80 at $1/$2 and a max of $200 at $1/$3. If I could buy in for 300bbs each session, then I would.
