also, if you buy in for $100 and youre up like 200 bucks, just take your money, and move to another table. Buy in for another $100, pocket $100, and no even if you lose it all, youre still up $100 !!
I disagree with this. Deep-stacked poker is fun. It's what I consider "real poker" and allows you to be way more creative. Plus it also allows you to have a much bigger edge against the fish and attain a much higher win rate.
To the OP: I think that you should continue playing for as long as you feel that all 3 conditions are being satisfied on your table:
1) You are not tired or tilted
2) There is at least one fish on the table that you have a decent edge against
3) You can afford to withstand variance (eg. losing your stack set over set)
I have played multiple sessions of live $1/$3 with a $1500+ stack (reached $1730 a few days ago) and I find that I actually play better and more confidently with a deeper stack. I hate the fact that my casino only allows people to buy in for a max of $80 at $1/$2 and a max of $200 at $1/$3. If I could buy in for 300bbs each session, then I would.
