Morning,

I've been playing for a fair while now and playing at 10NL 6max. I've got plenty of questions to ask so I decided to start a thread where I can ask them.

As always, your help is greatly appreciated. Ok here goes,

I normally 3/4 bet AK however I've been burnt pretty badly the last 2/3 times I've done this when I've come up against QQ+. We're about a 31% dog against QQ+ so I've decided, unless I know someone 3 bets wide to simply call with AK if my raise is 3/4bet back at me. Is this a +EV way to play AK?

Small and medium pocket pairs in early position, 22-55, 66-99 do you guys raise in EP with these? I've seen people advocate calling and trying to see a flop cheap.

Do you raise Ax and Kx when at CO/BTN if nobody has raised before you?

I think that's more than enough questions for the moment. Having a bit of a bad run atm but still over 10bb/100 at 10NL when 2 tabling so I can't complain but I know there is plenty to improve.

AK is about 46% against QQ. It all depends on the villain, if you have a HUD it will be far easier to play. Against tight opponents that will only fold worse to a 3 bet then cold calling is better.

If your opponent is loose and will happily call 3 bets go ahead and raise. As for small pp, I fold 22-77 in EP just because they are tough to play oop unimproved. Dont limp with them... open limping is a sin.

Yes 46% against QQ, 31% against QQ+ with AK and I do play with a HUD.

I understand that if his 3bet % is above 3% (QQ+, AKs, AKos is 2.6%) I can correctly call/re-raise if I have AKos. His 3 bet range will be wider than QQ+ so I can bet/call and be favourite.

Sorry didnt see the + sign. Well 3 bet stats would need to be over more than 100 hands, preferrably 200, to be reliable. If his 3 bet is 3% then go ahead and fold, if its normal say 5-6% then Id call in position and 4 bet oop. All depends on villains other stats as well but this is just vague.
