Where I am at I am not sure if purchasing one will bring me a +ROI/BE ROI. I am an ok player at best if I want to accurately and realistically asses my play at the tables. I feel like there have been countless situations that having HUD would of given me a very good edge and allow me to exploit some weaker opponents more then what I have, but I typically don't grind more then 4 tables at a time with the norm usually being 2 tables. I would also like to keep track of my win rate more accurately and also track my EV accurately. It also seems that for the sake of posting HH it is almost a necessity to get solid feedback on the lines you took for specific hands.
What I don't want to have happened is to become distracted by having one and therefore losing some skill edge due to laziness. Will it force me to have to play more tables to bring my win rate up to at least make the purchase BE.
These ate just some of the ideas I am contemplating and would appreciate some great input from everyone. So please give me all the thoughts you have.
Thank all happy grindin
Don't use it myself for a couple of reasons: I run a Linux
system, and this soft runs on Win-d'ohs.
I also use direct observation. A HUD can only tell you how a player played in the past, not right now. It can't tell you who's off their game, who's been improving, who's staying the same. I've seen normally nitty players turn into aggrotards because some other player set them off. Direct observation also reveals tells
, and these do exist on-line. Bet sizing tells and timing tells are out there. If your vill isn't multi-tabling, then that extra hesitation speaks of a lack of confidence, so that hand you were considering folding to a river bet just became a raising hand. Keeping your own notes on the regs also helps with memory, something no HUD can do for you.
