I posted this thread in another forum, just curious as to what the replies would be like here.

In this post, I've included a few spots that I consider standard stud 8 situations. What's the best action for each hand and why?

not very good, but heres my answers anyways :D

1st one, prob fold it....

2nd one, villain 1 could have made a better low here but also a chance he paired up, if he has made a better low hes raising and were in a tough spot, so id make a call here and see what develops..

3rd one, he should have a pair here if he is raising a king in stud 8, i dont think you can raise, make the call and hope for a low card, even if i paired up here id be trying to take the lead in the betting, any 2 4 6 looks like a bad card to whatever the opponant has, looks like we hit a low and straight.

interested in finding out how you approached these situations..

Hand 1... You Raise ...It's fairly standard to raise if you have aces so villain 1 probably doesn't have aces and you need to thin board out for the high pot( if Villain 1 raises auto fold)

Hand 2 ..Raise and find out if other Villain 1 is still drawing

Hand3 Personally I just call

I think they are all pretty standard except maybe hand 2 if you know guy in the middle is bad
