I always call raises with pocket pairs below 99 as long as the bet to stack ratio is above 9.

I also flat call with AKo or AQ off.

Usually I slow play pair of queens or higher in NLH on a "dry" board.Nothing past the turn.

Sometimes, depending on the situational read, I will bet out trips on the flop and check raise the turn OOP.

When I get QQ or better on the button and it is folded to me I try my hardest by betting 2.25x to make it look like a blind steal.:icon_joke

How do you trap?

My traps work very well when I sit without position. When you play a check, call, or check, raise. But, I think, it all depends on the opponent.

Depends on too many factors.
If it's a cash game or a mtt.
In cash games rarely trap there, stack stack sizes are too deep 100BB+ and you want to get max value from your premiums hands, especially OOP.
In mtts depends on the dynamic of the table, if there are aggro players with reshoving stacks then trapping to induce a shove it's a good idea.
But in general I don't trap, I will try to get paid by my premiums.

Edit: Because the post is in the cash game sector I'll assume that you are talking about cash game traps :)

I'm not really sure if I do [intentionally] trap.
I always open-raise 3BB no matter what I have because I don't want to give anything away (so I could have AA or 79s, or anything else in between), although I will 3-bet with premium hands if I'm not the open raiser.

Maybe trapping is a dynamic I should add to my game.

I trap myself. In BB against SB with AA.Only called each street to the river and was met by his q-7u which was good enough for 2 pair after he rivered the Queen.
I should have re-raised his flop bet and shut the hand down straight away.
Trapping can work against LAGs but playing the waiting game with a good hand can just as easily end badly.

Trapping Tactic

I never try trapping preflop, only post flop. One trick I've learned is when you've flopped a good hand, bet 5BBs on flop and hope for a call. Then bet 3BBs on turn regardless of pot. This makes it look like you were bluffing the flop or missed a draw on the turn. Then bet big on the river and it looks like a big bluff.

I don't like slow play because generaly the card my oponent is waiting appears on the board and my trap is over! So slow play for me no more.

MY WAY

Pre-flop with a hand that I would go all in with I bet 2.5 Bob's. Shows " I have a decent hand but not great." Many times someone will raise big in order to take what's in the pot. Then I shove it all in.

Post-op, pretty much the same thing. Except if I have top Trips I will try to slow play it as long as there is not a flush or straight draw on the board.

If the speech about 0,1/0,2 and 0,2/0,5 limits, then you don't play slow. You put - fish pays
