Depends on the player thats re-raising. If he does it every other hand, cap it. If this is the 1st time you've seen him push, maybe call, but think about folding.

With no reads...how do you feel? Does he have a decent stack so can you actually win something worth your investment?

So many factors on a open question like that, so... I will typically call and see what the flop brings. With no overs I'd push until he really pushes back, or try to check raise the flop to see if he sticks with your aggression. With no reads play the hand straight up.

Cheers

I usually like to limp UTG, and smooth call any raises. If the board is under JJ, check raising on the flop to see where you stand is great. If they can come back over you, its time to look at the player you are up against for the decision to shove or fold.

With JJ UTG this
I usually like to limp UTG, and smooth call any raises.
is a mistake. JJ is a premium hand and will win more then it will lose. You are only giving more players behind you to call with proper pot odds. The only way you would want to limp is that you have a read on someone behind you that you are confident they will raise so you can then reraise them. If you want to make money on your premium hands, limping with JJ is a leak (and not a small one).

With JJ I want to push hard so I can hopefully being heads up and run any other players out of the hand. I then bet any flop in hopes of seeing if I can run the other player off the hand or to see how strongly they feel about the hand they are playing.

"Quite frankly it's retarded to argue otherwise."

That's the funniest thing I've read on this forum in a long time.

I usually tend to play pp J's just like i play any other middle pair. So if i'm UTG, i usually make a minimum raise, nor a limp if early in a tournament. J's ain't that good to raise it high, mostly UTG, IMO.

I'll three bet and see the flop, if it doesn't look like the flop hit anyone, then I'll push a little harder. The way everyone seems to always play now, staying in with A x, I don't really push a lot without seeing the flop first, tired of losing to A rag once an A flops.

As one of our members quotes in his sig line: There are 3 ways to play JJ - and they are all wrong.

About 'utg' - there just isn't one answer. As noted above, you need reads, stack sizes, ring MTT or SnG and so much more. Can't think of one instance or situation where 'one' play is always the best way.

I would call a raise a pre flop if it is less than 20% of your current stack. If you se a a k or q on the river and some one goes all in, just fold, unless you hit your set. If someone goes all in preflop and it is someone with a stack in good chip rank, fold.

You can't fold every time an over card comes to your JJ. If you do, you'll end up losing money. Most flops will contain at least one Q, K, or A. An A is obviously a much scarier card, because far more of the villain's range contains an A than a Q or a K. However, if you're raising and then losing every time an over card hits the board, you're playing far too passively, and people will pick up on that.

I aggree.I dont think u should slow play em, then the next thing u know is somebody had caght two pairs.JJ is a scary hand and I see people shoving it all the time.I dont think it is a shove hand, but it depends on the players u are with and what game setting, whether its MTT or cash cash game.
