how would you play AK? If the flop is A, 9, 3. Turn Q. River J. I am in the starting position, 1 opponent on the button checks all my beta in 60-80% of the bank.
you have to bet after hitting ace on flop ,now if your reraised after you bet you need to think it thru and play very carefully.if not continue on betting
If it is after the flop Chica bet that means he has A high pocket pair or I would shoal till the end depends more what suits there was a flush draw for example.
Well thats a nice wet board you got there but you got some blockers (you hold the king) and depending on the pre flop action you can at least estimate your opponents holding. OFC there are some disguised hands such as sets, two pair etc, but the key is to look for a change of behaviour in your opponent. If you lead in with a bet and always get called and then reraised on river, that is suspicious and you know you are probably beat. Just dont worry, poker is a game of PATIENCE and you dont have to win every hand and sometimes its good to learn to muck the top pair top kicker if you have the feeling that you are beat.
AK is a bit an overrated hand , raise / re-raise preflop if you face a 3-bet now it's a tough decision because you're certainly facing a stronger hand the best situation you will be fliping in an all-in situation
It depends on the game mode, position, blinds, players at the table, and the favorite color of the opponent's shirt (this is a joke). But playing it very aggressive is the best you can do.
