Lately on FTP I've been on a losing streak. I have made it hu twice in two different miniFTOPS qualifiers. Each time losing the hu due to a suckout. (Total value about $88). I feel I am playing decent poker but making some poor decisions and starting to lose my patience. I took a break for a few days and have tried to limit my steaming. I have been even on stars over this period and have moved some of my sng play to there. Any advice what to or what games to play?
Thanks

I tend to go on bad streaks during FTOPs and mini-FTOPs... as in I start steaming in general. I think it has to do with the hope/wish for a big win. I find that busting out of several bigger tourneys and sats without a cash is detrimental to my attitude.

I can't tell you what to do. Once I find myself on more or less permanent tilt, I scale back a lot and avoid the big tourneys for a bit. Back to grinding out small SNGs and cash games, making a big effort to get my mental state more balanced. I may not play at all for a bit, just to get my head straight.

Yeah i took my break and am playing better poker today. Two decent cashes and playing my cards well and hitting well too. I also limited myself on money added such as cc games.

Never lose your patience. It is a quick recipe to the rail. Everybody will have there streaks, here's to the short bad ones. Play tight and play through it!

Not sure if you're still on the bad streak but I've sort of been in a slump too. What I've been trying to do more is find a way to build up my confidence by playing in lower stakes. I was playing in the $8 to $10 tourneys and SNGs for awhile when I just started to play like crap (either that or my results were pretty crappy even if I was playing well).

So recently I've been playing in lower stakes (nothing higher than $5.50 for SNGs and lower buy-in for tourneys) to try to right the ship a bit. I haven't made any huge cashes but at least my bankroll is on its way back up (I guess one could argue that I may have been playing beyond my skill level but I won't bother conjecturing on that right now).

EDIT: I may have to amend my rules to play in the CC 1 million post celebration tourney. ;)

Do not experience. All have a black and light strip))))))). When at me the period badbeat I simply begins start to play micro limits and I reduce quantity of games up to a minimum to allow to have a rest to a brain and nerves. It will pass. Everyone pass through it - and it does us more strongly and is more skilled
