Hey, I found this article about protecting your bankroll and not making foolish mistakes ...

Check it out:
http://www.pokermagazine.com/Online-Poker/tilt_poker_tips.html

This is the end of it:
The best way to avoid tilt when playing online is to turn off the computer. It’s not like you are in Las Vegas and have to board a plane to fly home. You do not have to drive home to leave your local card game at your buddy’s house, because ou are already home. Log off and save yourself from seriously damaging your bankroll.

Excellent Advice

Definitely if you know your on tilt, just caught a bad beat, or have got a bully that seems invincible, just step away. I dont think you should have to turn off your computer, if you playing for serious money you should have serious skills, such as knowing when to cool down.

This can be a serious problem, trying to beat the guy who keeps rivering your quality hands with rags. The important thing is not to play his game, play your own. If you start trying to play all the low suited connectors that you get dealt, unless you get seriously lucky you will go broke. Do whatever it takes to relax again, whatever it takes is what it takes to be a winner. I always sit out at least one round of blinds around the table when i catch myself playing poorly and calling with questionable hands. That is usually enough time to clear mt head.
