How was the first experience of playing live poker?
mine was half scared because I did not know how to do or how to handle it because on line we have the buttons that help us know how to put the blinds ... but after several live outings I realized that it was not difficult and that for me is to improve the adrenaline is very good face to face.

Hi There,

my advice for anyone playing live for the first time is to go and watch a game first, get a feel for the atmosphere, be confident in your bet sizing, position is really important but in live games, you will amazed at how crazy players can be, especially with wide ranges!
Regular exposure will teach you lots about playing live poker but knowing when you are SB/BB is key, if its dealer dealt then that is so much easier..

Best of luck

Yep, first time I played a live tournament I was pretty intimidated. After that time I felt somewhat okay with it. I haven't played live for a few years due to health reasons. It's only 70 miles one way to the nearest Casino in Oklahoma. Going to try and make it some this summer.

The first time I played live was draw poker. We knew the rules and hand rankings but we didn’t know to increase the antes as time went by. After 5 hours, only one person had busted out! That was a long night but it was good fun.

I love playing at live tables! Other than playing cards with my friends & cousins, my first serious poker experience was at a live table at a casino. I was quite nervous -- even more so because the majority of the other players seemed super-relaxed, regulars or older gentlemen. Took an hour or so of playing before I felt relaxed enough to read the other players & bet more aggressively.

The first time I played live poker about 10 years ago.

The first time I played live poker about 10 years ago. I fell in love with this game from the first minute. It was a freeroll with rebuys, and I took the third place in it and got a cash prize. After that, I believed that poker can make money, and began to play stably. Gradually moved from live tournaments to live cash and so began to make a living.

When playing live the experienced players really feel you out. They do this online also but much less extent. I always wear my black hoodie and sunglasses. Sometimes I do the Phil Hellmuth.

It was ridiculously bad. I had no clue what a good starting hand looked like. I lost until I bought and read my first poker book, Phil Hellmuth Play Poker like the pros.

The first casino tournament I played was intimidating, my tabled seemed to play it regularly and everyone knew each other. I went deep and busted with A10, flopped trips to a boat , cashed finally on my 3rd tournament.

I have not yet lived an experience of playing a live poker tournament, ceoncerteza must be completely different you come face to face with your opponents, adrenaline must go to a thousand. As soon as I experience such an experience, I will share it with all the friends of cardschat.

It's no big deal.
Hardest part is keeping track of the size of the pot.

Live game

The first live game was just an unforgettable moment! A lot of adrenaline when you're betting or afraid of the cooler. It's a lot easier to give up your chips. The value of chips was not felt at all. A lot of fun and the desire to play again!

Just don't be scared. I know this will sound cheesy, but think of the buy in money as money lost.
When I played my first live cash game, i just turned legal-age. I remember going all in with JT on a 789 board and got called by two players. Instant triple up. But even before that moment I played fine, observed the players, what they do with their chips, tried to pick up some tells and so on...
As soon as I won that big pot, I started to be afraid that I'm gonna lose that huge amount of money in front of me. I remember the guy to my left told me to sit out and take the money. Didn't listen - lost all of it - only cause I was suddenly afraid to play my game.

First course hands were shaking, but eventually everything went. Sitting down at the table for the first time, it is very difficult to keep track of the players. I would advise all first watch that sits on the left and right of you. These are the most important people.

I think that live poker will never match online poker. In live poker, you see the players and hold cards in your hands ....

As for me live poker is much better
