Hello

When I log in to my favorite site there are many tables in my chosen range. Do I go to the ones with the most players/flop? The highest average pot? The longest waiting list? (BTW, why do some have such long waiting lists and others do not?)

I realize this is a lot of newbie stuff but I'm trying to decide which tables would be the most profitable for me to play.
I can start very small (.10/.25 blinds) and build a bankroll before moving up to .25/.50, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Generally I think # of players to flop is a better indicator of a good table than avg pot size. # of players to flop will prob have more limping and loose passive play. Average pot size can get skewed by coolers. Another good thing to look for is players that dont have full 100bb stacks, regulars usually buy in for the full amount top off when they go below 100bb so chances are if someone is sitting shorter they are a weaker player.

Most of the time when there is a long wait list for a table if there is a known fish on the table.

Most players on flop is good indication of a good table.

With regards to high average pot, indication most likely there is a lost maniac on the table.

About the waiting list, it shows the table is so good because of many fishes swimming or the other way around where a maniac gone loose.

If you have a lot of tables, then you can also just join tables that are 5 or 8 handed, depending on 6 max vs FR.

Waiting list you can just join, see what it looks like when you are up.

Higher than usual players per flop and average pot are good indicators of tables where you have people there ready to play a lot of hands.

But when you have a lot of selection, just get on tables and be ready to leave some and join new ones.
