I am a bit lost when floating/raising flops.
For instance, unknown UTG opens 3x you call on btn. Nevermind our holding for now.
Flop comes 267r, he cbets. How often do you raise this flop? Obv missed his range and we are basically representing a set or an oesd (2-p more likely to call this board), which might not be credible enough? Then again, he is unlikely to continue with less than an overpair and must continue OOP regardless.
Is this reasoning correct?
Is a raise better than a float and why (when do you prefer the other)?
How would we play say AK oop if we call a 3-bet preflop and we miss, he cbets, do we call/raise? On what boards? As I am told calling 3-bets oop and then play fit/fold is really bad. But bluffing oop in a 3-bet pot feels very spewy.
Any other general suggestions on how to play postflop without initiative is much welcomed.
