I usually grind about 6 tables (it's all i can fit on my laptop screen). I find the more tables i have the more i'm playing robotic. To be honest poker is probably less enjoyable the more tables i play. That might just be me though.

Do you guys play more or less tables and what are your reasons?

Cheers.

I was grinding 6 tables of fr only because I have A small screen but am planning on getting A couple 24inch moniters soon and should be able to play 16 if I want to.But will make adjustments since I am playing 6max now.

Four is about all I can handle,,,also I use a four color deck,,, seems to help when going from table to table.

I'm 6-maxing the 6 tables too. Might move to 9 seater so the pace isn't so fast.

1 almost always(cash) - I agree its more enjoyable to play one at a time and think about what is going on more than just waiting for good starting hands :)
except when i am doing free roles(sng) i do 2 tables

Usually 4 tables. If the games are good I will try go up to 6. That's as much as I can play while keeping focused on all the games.

you should only be playing good starting hands anyway lol, exception being when youre on in LP. i play a minimum of 10 tables, and im still opening 69s etc on the button

tbh i find the more tables i play, the less of a donk i am bc i know i can just fold and move on to another table

^^^^^This, I find the more I "think" about my play, the more mistakes I make.

I used to play around 16 but have cut it down to 8 while I evaluate my play. As soon as im confident I can beat the stakes im at, I'll go back to 16+

I like to play 4 6-max tables that way it speed things up to help with my attention span but also allows me the time to think a little bit when i want to..

If it's too fast then drop a couple of tables, you don't have to switch to full-ring!

in Late position got it.

I win just as much off of bad hands as i do good hands by playing the person. Of course some times it does not work and i look like a fool but some times it does work and i feel smart.

I just play to aggressively to do multiple tables but maybe it would help me be more patient.

When you play that many tables, how can you play position poker? I find 2 or 3 is only way I can handle the position poker play.

^^^ this. If anything, your play is weighted far more towards positional play the more tables you have, so that comment really makes no sense...

I have played up to 12 tables but after 30 mins my brain is fried. These days I play mainly 3 or 4 sometimes 6 as this is the most I can manage.

Used to play up to 16 FR on FullTilt back in the day, but took a hiatus after a big downswing, and when I came back I was playing SNGs and MTTs. IMO tourney's are harder to multi-table than cash because of different speeds and blind levels, and once you get so many overlapping start times, switching between them quickly demands a lot more attention due to the adjustments needed as a tourney progresses I'm now up to playing 6-8 tourneys at once and it's pretty comfortable.

Unless it's a league or special event game where I'm occupied in chat (the only games where I chat at all), playing only 1 or 2 tables is incredibly boring and puts me on tilt. At this stage I think I actually play better when I've got enough going to keep my mind occupied. 4 is about the minimum I play unless I'm winding down a session.
