First of all, what you believe you are is going to go along ways toward being a winning player, or a loser. When you are running good, all is great, and you may think you are a winner, and that's how you should think, but that can be a self made trap, because you will play many hands that should be folded, and sooner or later you will get trapped and lose some or all of what you have won. Then maybe it all goes down hill, and you start doubting yourself as a good player. So you went from a good player to a bad player in a short time. The best thing you can do is not to think of yourself one way or another, but to KNOW the player you are, and keep it there. Don't over or under rate your play skills. When you start doing that, you will see what you need to work on to better those skills, and I assure you that the main one to work on is knowing the hands to play and the ones to muck. So HOW MANY HANDS PLAYED will tell you nothing, but HOW MANY FOLDED will tell you everything. "Fold and live to fold again"
