Im a student and im wondering if I'm good, how much can I make at 10nl? My roll is $320 and I am using table ninja doing 15 tables comfortably. Some examples of what some people here make per hour at diff table amounts and diff stakes

(3.39 / 100)*0.1 = $0.00339 per hand

Now just multiply by how many hands you play per hour. 6-max tables at 10nl on FTP look like they average ~90 hands per hour. So more math...

90 hands per hour * 0.00339 per hand = $0.305 per table per hour
0.305*15 = $4.57 per hour playing 15 tables.

So, don't quit your day job.

Nice work putting this together. He's a student so may not have a day job. $4.57/hr is better than working part time at the college book store.

If a student can make around $15 to $20/ playing poker that can help a bunch.

I wouldn't move up to .25nl until you have around $700-800 in your br.

OP...keep up the good work.

It's been said before and should be said again. Playing microstakes is NOT about your hourly. You're playing to build your bankroll and move up so that you can eventually make a decent hourly.

To OP, I understand you are just curious what hourly rates can be attainable at 10nl (I think I was winning at 8bb/100 and playing like 12 tables before I moved up, over a 100k hands or so), but your focus should not be about making money, it should be about learning and getting better.

This is bad bankroll mgmt in my opinion. I like to play deeper than 30 BI when I am playing so many tables because it is easy to have a big downswing and then be playing with way less than you should without really knowing it in the middle of a session

Nice. I don't think he was going to "quit" his day job, I don't even think he has a job, just a student. On top of the hourly rate though he will be making money in bonuses/rakeback too so it's higher than that but anyway, he could always just add more tables to increase rate OR..up his stakes a bit.

In comparing hourly win rate vs hourly salary, you may want to factor in any deductions that apply to the latter so that you are looking at net figures in both cases.

Another possibly valid question is how likely it is that you'd be working during those hours you now play poker. In my case, it's not either/or since I only play during my leisure time. So, the fact I'd make a lot more per hour if I were working is irrelevant.

How to make money playing 10nl :

play 4 tables, learn the game, move up, rinse/repeat.

I'm sorry though, I know you wouldn't be cool and able to say "Look ma'! I'm playing 15 games at once! Am I bad or what?"
