I am a former sng/mtt NL poker player who has discovered the sexiness and profitability of cash games online. I've only been playing at the micro stakes (NL 5 mostly with some NL 10 in between) for the bast couple days and i have turned a $65 profit. I am sure some of this is due to variance and that i am experiencing a hero upswing but i mostly practice good br by maining on nl 5 tables (i table 2-3 tables at the same time). I am a TAG player who choses FR tables with solid average pots and people to the flop. I blind steal often and occassionaly defend my bb. I like to use position to hurt weak pre-flop betters as well as on the streets. I am good at representing hands and i catch a lot of bluffs. I still, of course have much to learn with a goal of growing my br and hitting the NL25 and from there who knows! My question is when should you leave a table when you're experiencing a lot of profit. I've had a few 2-4 hr sessions in rooms where my $5 buy-in stack has grown to $15-$20+. At what point should i leave so people don't get a good read on me? Or should i stay and just combat the aforementioned by switching gears?

I usually stay at the ring games until I start losing and my luck runs out.

Good luck with your bankroll and I hope the strategy you choose works out for ya. :)

stay there if theres a weaker fish at the table, it doesnt matter if your 200 deep man if nobody else is aswell so if two or three of your are like 15 deep then id probs leave if theres no super huge fish at the table.

If you're worried about people getting accurate reads on you at 5NL or 10NL and actually using those reads to take money from you... it's time to get up and find a new table!

If you continue to make a good profit playing 5NL then slowly build your way up through the ring games.

I usually stay until I double up.
Again this depends on the table.
If it has some tilted guys then I will surely stay until they get KO.

Your type of game picked is also very important in deciding when to leave.
If you play tight stay until x3-x5.
If you play aggressive then x2 is enough.

I struggle to know when to leave a table..I should quit when I hit a decent profit but I never seem to be able to as I enjoy it to much..which usually leads me to losing some and sometimes gaining a little more. I guess it's each to their own but I just tend to stay till I've had enough or if I'v played for several hours. I don't usually go if I double/triple up I stay if anything.

Chris Ferguson went from zero to $10,000 in a year playing on Tilt. This is the BR management he used for cash games. Never risk more than 5% of your BR on any table. If, at any point, you reach 10% of your total BR on a table you must leave when the blinds reach you. I think you can read an article about it at fulltilt.com
