Hey all,

My usual steaks are 1$-2$ and 2$-5$ (Live)

I'm playing for many years, but never truly studied the game.
Up until recently I was doing quite well, but the level of my opponents is much higher than it used to be.

I started to feel like my game is abuse-able too often and that I have way too many leaks.

Can you recommend me of good books that I should read or good and fun online poker trainers that I can use?

Any help will be appreciated guys! :)

Hello.
Welcome to cardschat community.
I recommend everyone to read the book Jared Tendler "The Mental Game of Poker".
I wish you to be patient, and every day to improve your game.
Good luck.

My warpath

live poker was the way to go for me. I bounced around a lot of home games and underground games.
Still need to play in a casino.

Honestly I prefer live poker than online because it's easier to read my opponents but i honestly prefer tournaments than cash games.

I have been subscribing to Nick Wealthall's site Transform My Poker for a long time and I think he is absolutely amazing. Apart from the paid courses he offers, there is a TON of free content....really worth looking into.
Love him or hate him, Doug Polk can really get you moving. You should have a look at his site, Upswing Poker...while it is essentially a paid site , there is an enormous amount of free content that I have found to be worth its weight in gold.
Now...I saved the best for last. You absolutely HAVE to get Nathan Williams free book Crushing The Microstakes. Really good stuff. He also sends out free emails every now and then with pointed information that targets specific problems you may be having trouble with.

Well there is a lot to be getting on with...let us know how you are getting on

I actually LOVE Doug Polk and already watched many videos of him on Youtube. I think he is very very funny and that he teaches a lot during his sessions. Will definitely try the site you suggested.

Regarding the book, I actually haven't heard about it before, Thanks!!

I was going through some online poker trainers and ran into Poker fighter and instapoker. Can you shed some light and recommend one of them?

Regarding the poker trainer so I can shed some light.

Instapoker offers you several "hand bundles" that give you predetermined scenarios and explains what is the optimal play within each of those scenarios. Nice to learn fron but it's very limited and quite expensive.

On the other hand you have Poker Fighter. This is already a different story.
A friend of mine recommended this poker trainer and I can only thanks him since then.
This is such a fun and smart online trainer and it actually improved my game and my winnings.

The poker fighter teaches you how to play in the various stages (pre-flop --> river) and gives you instant feedback without putting your money into risk. The best thing is that the levels are infinite and it allows you to improve weaknesses in your game without memorizing spots or getting bored. I think that the trainer uses a very intelligent AI.
It's very cheap and you can see their different offering by time (I purchased the yearly account).

Hope it helped! Good luck!

I have learnt a lot by watching players play on livestream and youtube videos.
Many streamers/youtubers explain poker strategy pretty well and informative. Information of different stakes are all included. You can definitely find the ones suit you
