I play locally at a casino I buy in pretty full id say 160 to 200 bucks and just always lose more than I win despite great play!! I'm not a fish a rookie or a weak player I just find that I have to much bad luck for this game even though I know how to play and exploit my opponents mistakes and the thing is I enjoy limit poker.. For instance last session bought in for 160 walked with 30 in frustration. Worst hand aj off in the sb 3 players I just call. Flop comes ajk one diamond. I bet everyone calls. Turn is a 6 of diamonds I bet 2 people fold one person calls. River is a 3 of diamonds I bet he raises I call and he shows 5-8 flush diamonds. This ticks me off because I making him pay but I lose like this very often. For me it's always heads up to an idiot or two! I mean If I have ak suited and the flop come 345 then a 6 with 6 players in I fold it's a no brainier, however as I described the donks seem to have an advantage here as they just call 3-6-6-6 and the cards run out with one player out of 2 making the flush. I know this is a drawing game but after 8 folds I pick up qk suited in the blind call or raise and flop 2 pair and get stuck in to the chasers on pretty dry boards that seems to sum it up. It's not the the rake that kills me when I win I cash out 125 profit which is just fine the problem is my good hands are getting crushed to much should I alter my range to only suited big cards and stay in with the nut flush draw or straight draw with a top pair? In other words If I have ak and the board is a-9-4 with 2 of suits I don't have should I just check and fold if there is 3 players in the pot? Top pair top kick is a money maker in hold em and I just hate to fold to semi bluffs and chasers that often raise it up making me pay to their draws which means 3 chasers.
