I don't know from what i see most the time from a real aggressive player. there usually out of the tournament. People get tired of to aggressive and they get there monster hand and take the aggressive player out. I think you have to pick your battles wisely. And have something to be aggressive with.

I agree with not playing over-agressively most of the time. The person that you think is wink might just be laying back taking his time. I take a special kind of enjoyment out of taking everything from the over-agressive players who think they can dominate everyone at the table.

If I know someone is overly aggressive - I won't play if they are in the pot unless I know pretty much I'll win it. I've typed in "animal" sometimes and for some reason they back off. I've seen others type in "we're gonna call ya". Do they think we don't know what they are doing? Do they think we really think they have a monster hand every time? I think not baby puppy. Hmmm....

The advice at the top isn't especially good in online, because its hard to see their reaction. And like Smarts says - many are just waiting for a chance to pounce. Grrrr.

I would have to say that when I see someone being aggressive, I pull back a bit and make sure I have better hands before calling them and or raising them. How many times have we seen an aggressive player build their stack, only to lose it just as quickly.

Personally I like to be aggressive in spurts.
