Weirdly i win often at 10nl, but i dont have many buy ins so prefer 2nl for bankroll management. But omg the level of bullshit is crazy. I have played for over a year and still cannot beat this stake. I am losing the same way every single time. Bad beat after bad beat, i flop a flush, i bet good and they get a back door full house. I have kk, they have aa, i have aa when they have kk and guess what, they river the king. Whenever im a huge favourite to win a hand 80%+ i lose about 9/10 of them. Its been going on for over a year now, the most crazy varience.
If i was winning these pots 8/10 times like maths says i should, i would be crushing these stakes. But im having awful varience for over a year. Has anyone else experience bollocks like this and how did you beat it?
Before anyone questions my strategy i have spent time perfecting my ranges, betting frequency, 3betting frequency and adjusting appropriately to opponents. I start out every session winning doing well, but then the bollocks happens and i lose it all. If it wasnt for the constant bs id be winning a lot! I understand losing badly sometimes but its every session
For example on my pokertracker, it says i am over 2000 big blinds down with kk. I play them the normal way, 3bet pre flop, bet if over pair on the flop etc. But they almost always get cracked by a flush, lower pair or im against aa. The only pots i win are small ones preflop picking up the blinds. This is just 1 example the the bs im experiencing :(

The math only works when your opponents range can be assessed, players at 2NL literally play any 2 cards, raise and go all in with junk, take things personally and keep attacking your blinds. For many people at this limit, its probably a hobby and to pass time, you gotta play really straight forward and fold most marginal hands if your opponents are really loose, because they will get your entire stack in by the river.

This is accurate, you gotta go for the long game when you join a 2NL table. Don't get antsy to get in pre flop. Learn your villains and what they are willing to play. Try and find some resemblance of a range.(not all of them are brain dead) Play a very tight ABC TAG strategy. Limit your variance and you'll get their in the end.

Be self confident

My piece of advice is just be patient on the poker tables and think carefully before you bet a hand try to be smarter cause' maybe you are playing while you are angry and probably you are not making the best decisions and in that way is too easy lose in poker. it is normal have a down swing but I guess it is not normal have a down swing for over a year maybe you are playing really bad. I recommend you to study and watch poker videos where you can learn and improve your game.

Don't get in troubles, play secure and be patient. It is important to evalue the situations and determinated if it is a good idea bet, raise or just fold and wait until the next hand.

2nl takes 2 long to get anywhere

Honestly your best bet may be to work a few hours over time and save up atleast 10 buyins for 10nl. The reward for playing 2nl isn't worth the time it takes to achieve. It's more fun to play poker thank work for sure but if it helps you in the long run why not bite the bullet for a couple weeks.

at the absolute micro NL2 to NL10 , honestly just play a boring ABC tight agressive style. there's plenty of hand charts for you to follow. Not because they play all trash that you should do the same.

dont limp. ever.
vs fish or maniac, let em bet, dont bluff them, and value bet big.
vs nit, bluff them on low board, steal tons of blind from late prosition. etc...

if you keep going, and DONT try to change your starting hand range, over a big enough sample 30k+ hands id say you should be winning, easily.

good luck

I think you should play a little more relaxed and for a few hands observe well how your opponents play at that moment ... and then define a game strategy ... control your emotions ... do not get angry easily because you end up playing wrong and losing everything ..!
