How do you respond to getting picked on? 3-bet?
Yesterday I had a short session (less than 100 hands) and a reg sat to my direct left. I have a few hundred hands on him, and I know he frequents many poker forums
. His 3-et value is 2.
This session, he 3-bet most of my late position raises (I play very tight, so this was almost all of my raises) and would even raise my c-bets (did this one time).
I ended up raising with ATs in the CO, and he 3-bet me and I flat called. I was wondering if you should just start flat calling 3-bets if you are getting raised a lot, or if you should 4-bet.
What do you do?
It may have been better for me to start 4-betting light, because I would be out of position against a better player post flop. In the session, as I said, I flat called with AT, he ended up shoving the turn when an ace peeled off and I called >.< he shows a set of 2s. In the hand, I bet the flop with air. I should have checked and considered calling a bet on the flop, but I don't think betting was correct.
should I just not bother responding to someone taking advantage of me? Should I just leave the table? Advice for a new player, plz!!
