New to cash game and have been checking in down on the river in a lot of spots. Fearful of full boats. Anyway how would you handle a board like A 10 8 9 10? When a card comes on the river that creates a pair on the board should this intimidate you? What is going threw your mind when there is a pair on the board? I have had a lot of flushes in these spots and have checked it fearful in up against 10/9 A/10. I have the feeling I have been playing over cautious. Any advice is welcome! Thanks!

Actually I think your intimidation is not bad at all. Your opponent if he comes to the river defenately has got something from the flop. And it let him call you. If you really have a hand, then I would anyway recommend you bet (3/4 of the pot) on the river. This size will make possible bluffs almost imposible for your opponents. And don't be afraid too much
