How do u call the kind of players that in tourneys begin playing every single hand ?

Meaning, that they'll try to take the pot at EVERY single hand.

I've seen a few, and their strategy doesn't last that long, so i wonder why do they do it.

How do you call them btw ?

People who will raise at EVERY hand, at the beginning of a tourney, i guess to try to build a bigger stack.

I've seen a few people do it and find it quite annoying.

They show up in the beginning stages of every tourney, everywhere. They often bust out early.

For me, the best way to deal with them is to wait. Wait for the monster hands. Then play it aggressively.

I used to call them insaniacs. They play the game with a pokercidal streak.

What DJ said... just wait for a monster and play back at them aggressively. I've found that quite a few of these "donkiacs" have a very prideful streak in them, and take it as a personal affront if you reraise them. They then will shove, committing all or a majority of their chips while they are way behind.

Just be patient and pick your spot and hope they donate their chips to you instead of someone else.

Believe it or not, this isnt a bad strategy at all...if you tune it down a bit.

Players are usually tight during the first few rounds of a tournament and you can take advantage of that. Raise a lot of (potential) hands, steal those blinds, and pick up those unwanted pots. By potential, I mean hands like Ax suited, suited connectors, any pair, etc. Fold the garbage, but be aggressive with everything else. Also, this works in your advantage when you are holding a hand. Especially in the later rounds, when blinds are high and pots are big.

If someone makes a play back at you and you have less than a decent hand, just fold it.

So, basically, you're taking advantage of the 'play tight in early rounds' strategy my doing the opposite. If your opponents are sitting, waiting for hands-attack them.

Last night I was at a table where someone was doing this to an extreme. I think he was drunk or something. Blinds were 15/30, and he's raising PF to 300 to 500+. Luckily he was sitting to my right so I had position almost every hand. He was up to 2k in chips in rather short order, but ran into my AKh and was out a few hands later.

Interesting strategy, but more risky, and at the low limits I play, dangerous to do against calling stations.

The moral of the story is that playing the opposite of the table is usually profitable but you still have to play smart.

Pretty much start of tournments can be donk-country, just let them win their pointless pots and break them when you get the cards or wait til you get shifted tables. No point getting annoyed because thats when you fire back with cards that will get you busted. It's the internet we play on so find something else to do for the 5 minutes til they get busted. I look up useless things on Wikipedia lol.

If someone wants to play psycho aggressive early on in a tournament by all means let them do it. They aren't building much when the blind levels are so small early on so IMO it's a dumb strategy. The aggressive style needs to be saved for bubble time, when players truly tighten the grip on their chips.
