I understand that a person on tilt will play with the influence of emotions, aiming to get his money back. And so he will act in ways without thinking properly. So how can I get the upper hand of such players?
You can sucker them into raising you via chat then raising that but you better have the nuts when push comes to shove or they will be the ones to tilt you and get a good laugh unless their a fish then its $.$. Another good one if someone is mad play your hands very slow to make it seem like forever then hit them with a good hand to catch them off guard. Then they start cursing which is GOLD.
Played for real last night and 8 of 10 at the table were slobbering drunk - talk about the "tilt" factor. It was like 8 players going all in every hand and they finished each other off in about 20 minutes...freaking hilarious (I won of course).
Patience is a virtue. Eventually you will catch them with their pants down. When they are holding crap and you have rockets. Or maybe flopped the nuts.
I love players on tilt. As previosuly stated, just sit back and wait for a hand and take their cash. Had a player on tilt the other day and I managed to cash in. He had around $100 at the table at one point but took a real bad beat when his full house was taken out by 4-of-a-kind (not by me unfortunately). He went mad in the chat box and had about $25 left after the hand. He duly started to go all-in every hand and no-one took him on. I decided I would with any decent 2 cards. Well, I soon got a pair of 8's and called his all-in. He turned over Q-2 off suit and the 8's held up. I took his cash, he swore some more and left. lol
The main point is to wait until you can safely challenge. Even players on tilt can get good cards
I like to get a little personal, just trying to be a little too smug. It's probably not the best ettiquite, but it does work, if you get under someone's skin you're going to get called out of spite, you just gotta do it with a winning hand.
