i feel like i play pretty good poker but as of right now im breaking even for the past 5-6k hands. This is due to the fact that I'm making stupid small bets and bleeding chips across 6-9 tables at a time. The huge hands that I win are basically just enough to keep me at even money.

I play solid across a few tables but then ill have a brief lapse of concentration and piss away a buy in by making a bad call or raise. I'm not losing money because of it but I'm not gaining either. I feel like my profit margin would be alot higher if I could keep from making those stupid mistakes(Chasing draws, calling with top pair when im behind, etc.)

I also think i have a tad bit of ADD because after awhile I sort of tune myself out of the cards. Could that be a cause of it or do you guys get like that too?I've tried running 4 tables or less but i get bored with it at 4nl and try to play too elaborately and end up losing more than i wouldve by firing bluffs at calling stations and what not.

Any advice from anyone? I feel like maybe if i move up to 10nl and only play 2 tables at a time it would make me focus alot more because more is at stake. My BR is at $105. So at 5% i could buy in for around $5 and go from there. Bad idea? I'm still trying to figure this out. These minor lapses in my mind are the bane of my poker existence. I feel like if i could work them out I could be playing at a much higher level

i for the life of me dont understand why the new generation plays so many tables. i still say play 1 and pay attention. i just dont see how you canpay attention to that many. if you . just depending on your cards than that is really depending on the luck of the draw. and that is just luck. play 1 and earn your money.

I think you hit the nail right on the head, one table at a time. When you play that many tables there's no way you can get a read on the random generator. Let alone a read on the players at the table. Least ways I can't.

+1...less tables means more money, unless you get a bot rolling for you in the micros, and what is the fun in that?

If you cant handle playing a lot of tables, fine. But the attitude "You cant make money on multi tabling" is simply wrong. It takes a different approach, and adjustments have to constantly be made, but it has nothing to do with waiting for cards. BTW, I am over 50, so it also not necessarily the "new generation", although it is more widespread among younger players.

Anyway, @OP. IDK if you have ADD, but what you spoke about could have to do with normal mental fatigue or simple impatience. Try to see if there is any connection to your chasing and calling bad and being card dead or having a bad session overall. It could just be tilt, pure and simple, and that is actually what I suspect. (Tilt is much more than just being steamed, if you weren't aware of that already).

If you get bored with 4 tables, but are BE at 9, try to cap at 6. Only play more when you are on your game. If you notice you are making bad calls and chasing, then you are tilting. Simply take a break. It doesn't have to be long. But if you cant rein your tilt in, you have to remove yourself for a while at least IMO.

Try to pay attention to hands you are not in, it solves a lot of boredom problems, as well as making you a better hand reader. Never underestimate how much this can help your game overall.

I like to spend at least 1-2 hours meditating for every 30 minutes I play.

If you knock one out you will find that your mind is more clear before you play.

You got to limber up before poker, if you pull a muscle during a hand it could cost you a big pot.

you should probably keep pots small just in case somehting happens to you and you lose big pot. Like this one time, I was in a big pot and I had to take my dog for a walk and I timed out in the hand.
