I have posted a similar article b4, but I would not mind some thoughts from you guys about this.

I1m still new to poker (6 months) but I wonder if some of u more experienced guys could advise on this.

If I enter a tourny and am sitting with the same or more chips than I started with I always do well. I panic, however, when I`m sitting playing a solid game and I don`t catch a decent hand, or if I do catch a good hand and raise it I don`t get any takers.

If I get down to about 10-15 times bb all kinds of cards start to look good - 10 seater, middle position, no callers K9 diamonds starts to look sooooooo nice I`m tempted to push all in !!! (I don`t, however)

Do u guys have any thoughts on how to overcome this fear or panic attack, or do I simply take a chance with 10-15 times bb and play more loose?

Thoughts appreciated guys

If you raise and they all fold, what's your problem? Would you rather have someone call and get sucked out? You're getting chips regardless on how small the pot is. You need them when you are getting shortstacked.

One of your biggest mistakes is you panic. Panicking only makes things worse and you will often go on tilt. When you get down to 10-15 times bb and you get a hand like K, 9, you should push all in, especially when there are no callers behind you. All in is your only weapon at this point. Poker is all about gambling. If you are afraid to gamble, you shouldn't play poker.

The first thing that you need to do is relax. If you panic, you will make poor choices, and your chances at success decrease dramatically when you make poor choices.

The second thing that you need to do is be patient. If you are playing solid starting hands that just haven't hit yet, be patient because they will eventually. Don't deviate from your strategy, because when you do hit you will be able to double up and get right back in the thick of things.

Sometimes, it is almost better to be short stacked in tournaments. Why? Because when you do hit your hand, it is a cheap all in call for your opponents, and they will call with marginal hands due to the prospect of putting you out. Plus, people get lax when they are ahead, and will call with stupid hands. You can do a lot of trapping from behind. I've had far greater success playing from behind than playing with the lead from beginning to end.

i can't agree with aceZ and triel more.

sounds a little like being shortacked might be a little good for you. extremely tight players CAN NOT get any kind of edge against a player with a read on you. they have a distinct advantage because if you are in a hand and betting chances are you have it. no reason to try to out play some one who has played 4 hands in 2 hours. if you have an image use it.

Yes, i agree with the above statements,, you can NEVER panic in poker, if you do you dont belong there, you have to stay calm ALL the time,, When a person PANICS he LOSES his ability to play his best,, NEVER<EVER<PANIC is a good word of advice>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>buck:hello:
