holdem stragedy show or no show

the debate continues, on internet tournys, do you show winning pkts to establish bluffability or do you always make them wonder?
Show alot, they fear your raises. If you raise alot or play alot of hands... I recommend showing. keeps down the callers after playing several straight.
If you choose not to show, EVER, you will undoubtably draw more & more callers as you play same table. They peg you as a high risk player, and fear your raises less.
Is there a middle ground?
And if you get moved over & over, you never get to establish a table reputation.
What's your view?:icon_bigs I try both.... showing at the start of tourny and on final 2 tables. Any other time you give too much info to your competitors.
Then my number one rule : NEVER, EVER, SHOW A bluff!

In short, I never show because it's better not to reveal any info than to reveal. All you're doing is showing how you play a hand by showing.

Yes, you could use it to your advantage by bluffing, then showing the hand and using that image to your advantage later, and vice versa, but any player with half a brain can see right through that and know when you're advertising or not.

Just plain don't show your cards.

You might consider showing uncalled preflop raises with junk cards in heads up matches in order to tilt your opponent.
Then your big-sized bets on the turn and river might get called more often by fairly weak holdings, because many players will assume that you are an all-out bluffer.
Although this manipulation is obvious to many players you might wonder how well it works if you have already a substantial chip lead.

I do show if i had a massive hnd but i never show a bluff unless im trying to tilt some 1 or to get a maniacal image which is fun

I never show my pockets. Single table or multi....wanna see what I'm betting on call. Bluffing is an art and a powerful tool of which B&S is the most powerful bluff, but knowing what cards are actually capable of this kind of bluff has to play a strong role. Just how I see things.

It depends what I'm trying to accomplish. I will show alot if I'm getting a too tight image. My goal is to confuse my opponents, my last trip to Atlantic City I probably showed about 10 hands in my 12-15 hour sitting. Giving free information is not always bad, I will show bluffs sometimes in hopes of getting action later.

It really depends on the table...some times I'll show junk early at a table or when i've just been moved to a new table. Basically using this as re verse bluff.

Ditto.

If you're a player like me, who takes notes whenever certain hands are shown down, that let me gauge what type of players I'm up against, showing me cards is like absolutely giving away foolish information.

I don't recommend showing any cards, bluff or no-bluff, doesn't matter. In the long run, showing your cards will just hurt your game against good players who will pick up on certain patterns.

sometimes in the beginning of a tourney i show a few hands so people will think i don't bluff then i clam up

Same for me.
Depends the way the table is (loose or tight) and the image and message I want to pass to my opponents. ("respect my bets" or opposite "and you fold against that?").

But yeah more at the beggining of a new table as after 30 or 40 hands players already have way too much infos on you to give them a bit more by showing your cards.

So as Dork would say you can do it but with moderation... HIPS

I never ever show when I'm playing with regular peeps.

When I'm playin with the CC community I'll show once in a great while. An example would be AA,KK,QQ folded preflop. I would also show Quads, well, just because I'm the Quadmaster.

never every show unles i am playing live where i can get a tell on somebody by showing but on the net never every keep them guessing is the game watch the pros online they never show good luck at the tables
