Dear Cardschat :)

This is my very first post on the this forum so I'm just introducing myself and feeling grateful for all the amazing info that everyone has contributed here. I'm a daily reader of Cardschat material but never bothered to set up an account. Figured it was time to start contributing.

I'm a Microstakes Cash Grinder primarily and a play some SNG and MTT from time to time. My focus over the past few months has been on my Green/Blue lines and thankfully after a lot of study and intense work on my mental game, I'm starting to show a profit, and many of my worst leaks have been plugged but not all of them.

There is still a lot of work to be done. So to cut to the chase .... THE REASON FOR THIS POST, is to share my stats from the past 15,000 hands and to REQUEST FEEDBACK from the people who I know are vastly better and more experienced than me. You can be as harsh or as cool as you like, I welcome the sting, as it will help me to improve.

Ok so here are my latest stats: (15,000h) :deal:

VPIP: 35.7
PFR: 19.7
3BET: 7.38
WTSD: 29.1%
W$SD: 41.4%
AGG: 2.3
AGG% 41.7

I also wanted to include my fold to 3Bet & 4Bet stats but was unsure about how to get this using the HM2 filters. (Maybe someone can advise?) ... because I think in general I have been folding to 3Bet and 4Bet ranges too wide.

*** I know my VPIP and PFR are way too high. I have recently had to NIT UP big time and have already seen a huge improvement. It's a work in progress. Can you see any other problems? What else should I be examining?

Basically I want to know what the OPTIMUM STATS are for a winning player (I know this is a broad question) ... I don't expect huge answers on this being a noob on the site etc but any contstrcutive feedback would be cool. And if you do end up writing a novel for an answer, then you can do so knowing that I will read, absorb and appreciate every word of this advice. I can also provide further stats if needed.

MOST IMPORTANTLY... I want to know what the most critical stats are for Self Analysis and study. Any advice you can give me on these would be great.
Please also feel free to rag on me for any Fishy/Noob mistakes or statementsI welcome it. I am struggling to rise out of NL2 and NL5 and despite constant study, the variance and most likely my bad play says "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!"

But I'm looking forward to a long grind upwards. What say you? :D

Hi there, good luck to your journey. I hope you play 6max? :)

I would say vpip and difference to pfr is the most defining characterist of a player. My wild guess is that the best players can play up to 30% vpip.

6 Max

Hiya,

Thank you. Great to be here. I am ashamed to say they are Full Ring stats, and yes I know they're disgustingly loose. Hence me Nitting it up since then. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvement in the next 15,000.

Well on the bright side, if you come even close to breakeven with those stats, your post flop skills per tier are very good!

If you like to learn noob (quite tight) friendly opening ranges, from many I have sawn, these should work pretty well:

https://www.pokerschoolonline.com/b...art-5-Open-Raising-Charts-for-Early-Positions

https://www.pokerschoolonline.com/b...art-6-Open-Raising-Charts-for-Later-Positions

True that after your experience they might be overly tight =) However, that still should be the base value, and everything extra should be there only if you know you can do it profitably.

Thank You

Thanks very much my friend. Useful links. Just spent the night grinding NL2 6-Max. I'm actually generating a much higher win rate in 6-Max than I do in Full Ring. I think it's a combination of higher h/hr, Postflop advantage and also much crappier loose Villain holdings. The amount of guys 3Betting with air at this level is tasty. Get my 4-Bet on.

Your vpip and pfr stats are more in line with a 6 man or heads up normal range so I'm guessing if you tighten up a little more you should become even more profitable, But lets be honest when you are playing with a lot of looser opponents on micro tables it's hard to stay with your tighter range group

Going forward

Hi, thanks for asking. Well now that the range has been nicely brought under control (Thank you Mr. Miller), I'm focused on further leak plugging and studying some more advanced material. I'm doing a post tonight on leak plugging and what my hand history reviews revealed to me about my game.

Thanks

You are going in the right direction as I can see, it took me a while to adjust when I started playing 6-max, I expected to be bluffed a ton and that's not really true at the 2NL 5NL (and if they bluff the story often makes little sense).

I would be curious to see more detailed stats, you probably still have leaks somewhere with that winrate, is it in the blinds, floating too much, in 3-bet pots etc... The stats you posted looks good I'd say. Hope your HUD let you dig deeper.
