Was playing 1-2 NL with 6 players seeing the flop with single preflop raiser 10 dollars and 5 callers so there about $63 in the pot
The flop and turn gets checked around.
The board is something like 5h 9dAc Qc 2h
The river gets checked around to the last player who makes pot size bet $70
This look like he was buying the pot
I was next to act with no pair so I folded to the last guy who though for the longest time and made a hero call with 5h 7d (2nd lowest pair)

The bluffer had nothing just 6h 7h
What do you think would be minimum you need for hero call ?
?A high ? Bottom pair

When 6 players see the flop, it’s highly unlikely that nobody has nothing. Also given there is 4 players left to act after you, I don’t see you are in position to do a hero call at all.

I would fold because it's too risky , you should watch the player though if he bluffs a lot then i would think again about calling because bluffers don't just bluff once they always like to do that and enjoy that alot

In order to make hero call, you MUST read your opponents. It means nothing if you just wished you would've called it instead of others.

on the other hand, Q high should be the lowest hand to call a pure bluff but it rarely could happen.

Yea I agree Q high would be an impressive hero call
I'm still impress with A high or any low pair on the board with a hero call
Though there a fine line between a donk call and hero call Have to know your opponent well enough to make a hero call

That would be a tough call. On that board I wouldn't call with less than two pair. And probably a rivered two pair. So I think I would have to have A2 or 22 to play that hand. Because other hands I would have bet on prior streets.

Low manual couples - it is very dangerous!

Well if there is an ace on the board ace high isn't really a hand. With any other players to act you should absolutely not make hero calls so you did the right thing. You need to know if this player river bluffs a lo., When does he bet 1/2 pot is that something he does more often when strong or weak. Did this player think that no one had anything because other players would probably have bet any decent hand for protection, or does he think that one of the 6 players could be slow playing a strong hand and was frustrated no one bet so he bet for the largest value he might be able to get from something like top pair with a strong kicker?

Other notes: The bluff was badly sized, he should've taken a small ball approach and seen that most hands that fold to a pot bet would fold to a 1/2 pot bet.
