RIP Buck
Silver Level
In the internet poker book from matthew hilger you can find some
nice facts (given in a percentual chance to occur)
3 suited flops 5%
2 suited flops 55%
A will flop when u hold KK 23%
A or K will flop when u hold QQ 43%
A or K or Q flop when u hold JJ 59%
Makin a flush with suited hole cards 6%
Completing a flush draw at river 1,8 to 1
Set on flop completing to full house 33%
22 beats AK offsuit 53%
it looks quite boring on the fist view but there is some important strategic
help knowin at least the most important propabilities.
eg. you are shortstacked and preflop in a hand with a single opponent,
so u half more than 50% to win ur all in with 22 against any unpaired hand / go for it!
or even a pocket pair of jacks is powerful and looks nice its NOT a hand
to make an all in when u are not very desperate to double up / for example in beginning of a tourney if 4 players call your all in its almost
sure that ull be beaten by a higher pair.
eg. u are on a 2 suited flop and hit ur set with ur pocket pair. dont be
too scared of the flush cause u still have good 30% to make your full
by the river.
eg. u are holdin suited hole cards *9,10spades for example, and 2 overcards come along with ur flush draw on the flop. dont fold to any
raises as u have a good chance to make ur flush by the river
